The US federal government has changed who is allowed to receive SNAP benefits. Refugees, asylees, and parolees without a Green Card will lose all SNAP benefits on a rolling basis, beginning December 1, 2025. If you lose SNAP due to these changes, please contact IRIS at 203-997-8490 immediately for additional support. If a refugee, asylee, or parolee is approved for permanent residency (a Green Card), then they can reapply for SNAP benefits. Read more at the link below.
